Celebrating the Season At Missouri Girls Town, the holiday season is a time to come together, reflect and celebrate the strength of our community. Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, we’re able to create a bright, joy-filled season for the girls we serve and the dedicated staff who support them every day.
A Feast of Thanks
This year’s Thanksgiving celebration was made truly special thanks to the generosity of our supporters. Our girls and staff enjoyed a full holiday feast—turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, rolls, pumpkin pie, and apple pie— sponsored by GFWC Friends of Missouri Girls Town and Al and Becky Garrison. We were also grateful to Board Member D.W. Cole for contributing a delicious deep-fried turkey that everyone loved.
The day began with the tradition of watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade, followed by a cozy movie marathon that lasted well into the afternoon. These simple, joy-filled moments are what make the holidays so meaningful for all of us at Missouri Girls Town.
Spreading Holiday Cheer
The holiday season was filled with warmth and joy here at Missouri Girls Town. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, each girl recieved items from her personal wish list. Thank you to all the generous donors who contributed. A heartfelt thank-you goes to the GFWC Athenaeum Club for sponsoring a delicious Christmas meal. The girls even had the chance to vote on the menu, choosing a fun assortment of appetizers, a Chinese entrée and a sweet holiday dessert.
Throughout the weekend, they decorated their own Christmas cookies, shared time with one another, and filled the campus with laughter and holiday cheer.
A Gentle Reminder
As we look back on the holiday season, our hearts are full of gratitude for the incredible community that surrounds Missouri Girls Town. From festive meals to cozy movie marathons, every smile, every laugh and every moment of joy our girls experienced was made possible by supporters like you—people who believe in second chances and the power of hope.
As we step into the new year, we are reminded that the need for your support continues. Our goal for 2026 is to raise $450,000 by December 31st. These funds will help us expand life-changing programs, nurture our dedicated staff and maintain a safe, welcoming home where every girl can heal, dream, and thrive.
Your generosity is more than a donation—it’s a lifeline. It’s the difference between a girl feeling lost and a girl feeling seen, supported, and capable of a brighter future.
