Please help us welcome Maria Mulcahy, Missouri Girls Town’s new Development Director.

Maria recently relocated to Columbia, MO, and is thrilled to join Missouri Girls Town team. Drawn to the organization’s mission of providing care, safety and hope for girls, she is eager to combine her background in social work with her development experience to make a meaningful difference. Maria believes deeply in the power of community partnerships and is passionate about connecting people to causes that create lasting impact.

Maria Mulcahy holds a bachelor’s in social work and has dedicated her career to serving others through the nonprofit sector. She brings valuable experience in event planning, development and volunteer coordination from her time at the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery, where she worked with community members and supporters to strengthen resources for families in crisis.

In her role as Development Director, Maria looks forward to building strong relationships with donors and advocates who share Missouri Girls Town’s vision. She is committed to highlighting the life-changing work happening on campus and ensuring every supporter feels the direct impact of their generosity on the lives of youth. Through her advocacy, she hopes to expand opportunities for girls to heal, grow and thrive.

Outside of work, Maria enjoys reading, cheering on Mizzou sports—especially men’s basketball, spending time outdoors with her dog and wedding planning with her fiancé, Chris. She is excited to be part of the mid Missouri community and to partner with others who are passionate about empowering young people.
