Summertime is in full swing at Missouri Girls Town but that doesn’t mean things are slowing down! Our organization operates 24/7/365, which means our recreational program carries on for the summer months as well.
You might not know, when we are planning activities for our girls, we include two active sessions – like playing pickleball or powerwalking, in addition to one passive recreational entertainment – like playing a board game or doing a crossword puzzle. We’re taking this opportunity to showcase some of the arts and crafts projects that our youth residents have been working on during passive recreation sessions. All parts of our programming have a trauma informed therapeutic approach.
