As we enter 2026, Missouri Girls Town remains deeply committed to providing a safe, stable, and supportive environment for girls who have experienced significant childhood trauma. Since 1959, our organization has served youth from across Missouri with loving care, compassionate guidance and a steadfast dedication to long-term healing. The lessons and experiences of 2025 have strengthened our mission and sharpened our focus for the year ahead.
A Year of Growing Need — and Steadfast Support
From January 1 through November 30, 2025, Missouri Girls Town received more than 350 referral calls from across the state. Each call represents a young woman seeking safety, stability and hope. This record number of referrals highlighted both the increasing challenges Missouri’s youth are facing and the essential role our organization plays in meeting them. The demand we saw in 2025 guides our goals for 2026: to expand access, strengthen partnerships and ensure that every girl who needs help can find it without delay.
Aftercare That Reaches Far Beyond Our Campus
Our work doesn’t end when a girl completes her residential program. In 2025, our aftercare team provided vital support and transition services in Audrain, Montgomery, Ralls, Randolph and Saint Louis counties, helping young women maintain stability and continue their growth after leaving our campus. These efforts showed us the power of consistent, long-term support and will guide our aftercare initiatives in 2026.
Where Healing Begins
In 2025, Missouri Girls Town campuses delivered more than 5,000 hours of therapeutic services, including trauma-informed counseling, crisis support, educational assistance, recreational activities and life skills programs. As we move into the year ahead, the lessons from last year guide our mission: to expand access to these critical services, enhance individualized support and continue providing a stable, nurturing environment where every girl can thrive. Building on the progress of 2025, Missouri Girls Town remains dedicated to ensuring that healing doesn’t stop at our campus — it continues into every girl’s future.
